French President François Hollande visits H160 and H225M on opening day of Paris Air Show
French President François Hollande visited the Airbus Helicopters static display at the Airbus Group pavilion in the company of Airbus Helicopters President Guillaume Faury on the opening day of the 51st Paris Air Show.

The French president viewed the full-scale representative model of the new, highly innovative H160 medium helicopter, which is being presented for the first time in Europe at the air show. The H160 integrates as many as 68 different Airbus Helicopters-patented technologies including the distinctive Blue Edge blades ®, canted Fenestron ® and biplane stabilizer™ and will be adapted for a wide range of missions including oil and gas operations; public services, air medical and coast guard duties; and commercial transport, private and business aviation.

Hollande also toured the multi-role H225M heavy military helicopter, a bestseller whose 60 aircraft currently in service worldwide have been deployed with the French Army in Lebanon, Afghanistan, Chad, Ivory Coast, Central African Republic, Somalia and Mali, and with other customers in Brazil, Mexico, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand.
