First Utility Configured H130 Featured in Canada Demo Tour


The H130 successfully tours from Quebec to British Columbia on its first Demo Tour The utility-configured H130 completed its first demonstration tour, flying from Quebec to British Columbia. Following the successful tour, the H130 finished its trip with a stop at this year’s Helicopter Association of Canada (HAC) Convention in Vancouver on November 13th - 15th, 2015.

The versatile H130 is ideally suited for utility operations; the helicopter offers many possibilities for operators thanks to its wide, unobstructed flat-floor cabin that is able to accommodate an array of equipment providing outstanding mission flexibility. The H130 is equipped with numerous Airbus Helicopters Canadian STC’s such as the cargo mirrors, a cargo sling, cargo pods, dual controls and longline controller (50amp).

During the 16 stop, 11,500 km, Canadian tour, Airbus Helicopters demonstrated the excellent performance of the H130 for aerial work missions. Throughout multiple demonstrations, customers were able to experience first-hand the overall versatility and performance of the H130 and its multiple STC equipment. The high performance H130 has a load capacity of 1,500 kgs / 3,307 lbs and excellent pilot visibility.

With the latest aircraft technology and enhanced safety features, the H130 is a reference for challenging missions. Equipped with a VEMD the pilot is able to concentrate on the mission and improving flight safety. The trademarked Fenestron: which increases efficiency, provides a very low noise signature, and a high level of safety for ground personnel. Energy-absorbing seats are standard for the crew and passengers.

The H130’s simple design, use of composite materials and the experience drawn from the proven Ecureuil family all contribute to reduced maintenance costs and make this helicopter a key member of the Airbus Helicopters’ Ecureuil family.
