Eurocopter Hands Over 30th EC135 to German Air Rescue

22 February 2010

Germany’s ADAC officially took delivery of an EC135 today during Heli-Expo. This is the 30th EC135 purchased by ADAC. The company’s extensive rotary-wing fleet is used for urgent medical rescue missions in Germany.

On display at Heli-Expo, ADAC’s EC135 is fitted with an inlet barrier filter that reduces the risk of costly engine compressor blade erosion and foreign object damage. ADAC is the first customer to have the inlet filter barrier installed on a Eurocopter helicopter, and it is their first machine to be equipped with the filter system.

The twin-engine EC135 is a highly sophisticated, multi-purpose helicopter featuring cutting-edge technology that makes it the perfect choice for EMS and public safety missions. To date, Eurocopter has sold more than 850 EC135s to customers in 40 different countries.
