Moscow, Russia, – Airbus Helicopters Vostok, the leader among Western producer of gas-turbine helicopters in Russia, takes part in the HeliRussia 2015 show in Moscow, Russia. This year’s presence at the largest helicopter industry show is especially remarkable: it is exactly 20 years ago that the first rotorcraft delivered to Russia by the company took off – it was Bo-105 operated by Russian Federal Emergency Services.
Since then the European helicopter manufacturer has been gaining appreciation and commitment of its clients all over the country. Up to day Airbus Helicopters fleet in Russia counts 186 units. The company takes over 50% share of the Western-produced gas-turbine helicopters segment.

Having started with the supplies for the air ambulance, today the company is present in almost all segments of the market. Airbus Helicopters has among its operators in not only private customers, but also government establishments, customers from the oil and gas industry and largest helicopter operators for the transport of goods and passengers. The helicopters are used to conduct surveillance missions, geological exploration and other aviation operations, including ambulance transportation, evacuation and search and rescue missions across the country. For 20 years the Russian customers have taken delivery of 16 helicopter types produced by Airbus Helicopters. The company has a network of 22 service centers approved by the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency. One of the biggest customers today is UTair Aviation with the fleet of Airbus Helicopters units.

At this year’s HeliRussia show in Moscow Airbus Helicopters will show case its two most popular helicopters in Russia: H125 and H130 (previously known as AS350 B3e ES130 and T2 respectively).

H125 is one of the most popular models of Airbus Helicopters both in Russia and worldwide. The helicopter to be showcased on the company’s booth is successfully operated for the second year in the row by the Administration of the Leningrad Region for evacuation missions and medical transportation. The helicopter is equipped with the most modern rescue equipment, such as an electric winch, an infrared camera and a fire extinguishing system.

H130, another model presented at HeliRussia 2015, belongs to the group of companies "Heliports of Russia", which became the first owner of this new light helicopter in this country only six months after the first demonstration flight to the Russian audience. The helicopter is showcased in VIP configuration, with its interior customized according to the client’s demands. Thanks to its flight characteristics, low level of noise and vibration, excellent range of visibility and comfort this helicopter became popular all over Russia.

The company will also demonstrate a mock-up of its most advanced development – H160 helicopter. The first prototype of this aircraft was demonstrated March 2015, soon becoming one of the most discussed projects of the year. This was not just because of its futuristic design: the manufacturer registered 68 patents for unique engineering solutions throughout the development period

Airbus Helicopters Vostok will be located at HeliRussia on the booth 3E. The event will take place at the exhibition center Crocus Expo from 21 to 23 May 2015 in Moscow, Russia.
